Sinead's Story

Sinead's experience working with children began when working at Yellow House Outreach Services in Kisumu, Kenya, in January 2019. Over ten days, Sinead contributed to the service development of the team, facilitated training for local Speech and Language Therapists, and supported a residential 'communication camp' for parents of children with communication disabilities.

Since then, Sinead's has practiced in the NHS since early 2019 across both Manchester and London geographies. Sinead was previously employed as Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist with the NHS. The majority of her week was spent practicing at an Autism Resource Base within an NHS capacity, she has now begun to expand her services to offer private consultations, therapies and resources full time with Connect and Communicate. Her passion is evident in her dedication to the children, young people, and families she collaborates with. She adopts a holistic approach with every client, ensuring their individual priorities are always central to her practice.

She is a staunch advocate for children and young people with communication challenges. Sinead actively collaborates with educational institutions and key adults in these children's lives, guiding them in making necessary adjustments. This ensures these children can access learning and engage in interactions more successfully.
